Medical Advisory Board Appointments
Michael A. Mont, M.D., F.A.A.O.S. – Dr. Mont is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with over 30 years of experience in complex hip and knee reconstructive surgery. Affiliated with Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Northwest Hospital Center, he has performed more than 15,000 joint replacements and is a leading expert in joint preservation, replacement, and revision procedures. Dr. Mont is a life-long member of the Knee Society, Hip Society, and the National Osteonecrosis Foundation. Since 2022, he has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Arthroplasty, a prestigious publication in joint replacement research.
Antonia F. Chen, M.D., M.B.A. – Dr. Chen is Professor and Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Specializing in primary and revision total knee and hip replacements, she brings extensive expertise in managing total joint infections. Prior to joining UT Southwestern in 2024, Dr. Chen served as Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School and was Chief of Arthroplasty and Joint Reconstruction at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. A prolific author, she has published over 400 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to numerous textbooks in orthopedic surgery and infection management.

Tamara Rook, M.B.A. – Ms. Rook is a renowned leader in medical device commercialization, market access, and health economics. Currently a Principal at Rubrum Advising Inc., she has led global reimbursement and market access strategies for major medical device companies, including Zimmer Biomet, Abbott, Nevro, and Medtronic. Her expertise in evidence generation and commercialization strategy will be instrumental in ensuring broad adoption of Solenic Medical’s innovative infection control technology.
