Tesseract Structural Innovations (TSI) today announced that M. Stan Morrow has joined the company’s Strategic Advisory Board. Morrow brings decades of experience supporting U.S. national security and Department of Energy programs, along with a deep network of relationships across DOE and DoD organizations that are directly aligned with TSI’s expansion into government applications for its novel lightweight energy absorbing structures.

TSI’s technology is designed to convert crash and blast energy into controlled deformation at predictable force levels—reducing peak loads, intrusion, and transmitted acceleration in mission-critical settings. With growing demand for lighter, higher-performance protection in military platforms and nuclear material transport, TSI is strengthening its advisory bench to accelerate program identification, partnering, and adoption across the federal landscape.

“Stan is joining us for the reason that matters most in government markets: he understands how these organizations work, he knows the stakeholders, and he has spent his career delivering advanced systems into DOE and adjacent national security environments,” said Calvin Goforth, CEO of Tesseract Structural Innovations. “His guidance and relationships will help TSI identify the right DoD and DOE programs, shape our engagement strategy, and accelerate our path from demonstrated performance to deployed capability.”

Morrow’s career includes long-standing work at the DOE Y-12 National Security Complex, leadership roles delivering DOE projects, and hands-on execution inside national laboratory environments. He held a DOE Q clearance and has briefed senior DOE leadership, experience that positions him to help TSI navigate mission priorities, program pathways, and stakeholder requirements.

In addition to his government-facing experience, Morrow is a prolific inventor and technologist with an extensive patent record and decades of applied R&D leadership. His background spans advanced materials processing, high-reliability systems, and transitioning complex technical capabilities from development into operational use—experience that complements TSI’s current focus on scaling it energy absorbing solutions for demanding field applications.

“TSI’s technology addresses a universal problem in high-consequence environments: how to protect people and critical assets from extreme forces without adding unnecessary weight,” said Stan Morrow. “I’m excited to help TSI expand its reach within the DOE and DoD communities by connecting the technology to the right missions, partners, and program opportunities.”
