FlourishBiologics BiologicsMD, Inc. has evolved into Flourish Biologics, a transformation that sharpens the company's focus on its lead regenerative dermatology franchise after years developing a broader pipeline spanning hair loss, bone disorders, and oncology.

Originally founded as BiologicsMD, the company built a platform of patent-protected recombinant fusion proteins designed to deliver targeted, receptor-mediated treatment across multiple therapeutic areas. As the science matured, the clearest and most compelling opportunity emerged in alopecia: a first-in-class mechanism capable of reactivating the hair-growth cycle at its source, rather than simply managing symptoms. That clarity is what drove the evolution into Flourish Biologics.

The new name represents that focused mission "the science of growing back." The company's lead molecule, BMD-1141, pairs a parathyroid hormone receptor agonist with a collagen-binding domain, localizing treatment at the hair follicle for a sustained, targeted effect with dosing as infrequent as once every one to six months. The approach is designed to address all three major non-scarring alopecia markets; androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, and chemotherapy-induced alopecia, a combined U.S. opportunity the company estimates at more than $30 billion.

The company's platform has produced 19 patents granted and filed, demonstrated efficacy in preclinical animal studies and an exploratory proof-of-principle human study, and secured an FDA INTERACT meeting confirming its development approach. Flourish will continue advancing BMD-1141 while building out its team, which combines deep parathyroid hormone biology and protein-chemistry manufacturing expertise with a scientific advisory board of leading dermatology researchers from Harvard, UC Irvine, and the University of Iowa.
