VIC Tech Grows Its Medical Advisory Board

VIC MAB

VIC Tech is pleased to announce the addition of five new members to its Medical Advisory Board to help guide VIC with additional domain expertise across a variety of life science disciplines.

MAB members support VIC’s opportunity assessment team by reviewing new technologies that have the potential to be the basis for new companies that VIC may form. VIC creates and develops high-impact life science companies based on technologies exclusively licensed from top research institutions worldwide. The MAB also serves as an expert resource to guide these medical innovations to market. MAB members may, at times, take advisory roles with companies working within their field of expertise.

The MAB now comprises ten physicians from various healthcare networks chosen because of their medical expertise. New members include Steve Dorman, MD, a Physician at Partner Family Allergy and Asthma Consultants; Jeffrey Haithcock, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) for the American Radiology Associates and Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Education at Texas A&M Health Science Center; Natalia Jaimes, MD, MS, an Assistant Professor at the Department of Dermatology & Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami; Arlen Meyers, MD, a faculty member at the University of Colorado Denver Graduate School, where he teaches Biomedical Entrepreneurship; and Amanda Pientka, MD, a practicing intensivist in Fort Worth, Texas.
