Zebra Analytix Appoints John A. Michalek as CEO

FAYETTEVILLE, AR - Zebra Analytix, Inc.—a VIC Technology Venture Development portfolio company—announced today that John A. Michalek has joined the company as Chief Executive Officer and Board Member to lead the development and commercialization of its miniaturized analytical instruments and consumables.

As Zebra nears the launch of its first generation, miniaturized portable gas chromatography system, we felt the timing was ideal to have John take the helm.”

Zebra Analytix is using revolutionary advances in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) manufacturing to create versatile instruments at a fraction of the cost and size of traditional technologies. Future versions will incorporate modular, interchangeable components—such as pre-concentrators, purge and traps, multi-level separation columns and tandem detectors—enabling nearly unlimited flexibility and versatility at point-of-need to identify most analytes in a variety of settings and use scenarios.
